José Luis Jiménez is an accredited American Yoga Alliance E-RYT500 alignment and bio-mechanic focused yoga teacher. He is also the Founder and CEO of Fly High Yoga, and the therapeutic FlyHighYoga® Belt. A long-term yoga enthusiast his inspiration for the FlyHighYoga® Belt was the Yoga Kuruntha of the Iyengar yoga traditions where traditionally ropes are used.

José trained in Tai Chi and commenced his yoga path with Iyengar Yoga in Spain before travelling to India to deepen his studies with a range of master teachers such as Usha Devi and Sharat Arora (where Jose was trained, managed and taught) and also spent time in Ashram life at Bihar Yoga Bharati. Motivated by his spiritual path he lived in India for 5 years where he opened his own yoga studio.

Jose’s passion is teaching. A role of being in service where he strives to spread awareness of the importance of spinal decompression, alignment of the body and wellness of the mind. Practice done in correct alignment will relieve stress, treat injuries, improve any physical practice and slowly heal the varying layers of the alignment in the body and mind. As a teacher of Yoga teachers, his FlyHighYoga® trainings adapt the traditions of Iyengar, with the use of his designed hanging belt prop. He teaches a variety of classes as well as his FlyHigh gravity-defying classes uplifting hearts with his signature sense of humour. He is all about creating a fun, challenging and spiritually motivating environment.

José has explored and integrates different yoga styles with modifications for FlyHighYoga® sequencing. These include Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Hatha, Yin, Meditation, Gentle Yoga and Pranayama.
