“New Year, New ME”? Tips to keep that promise to yourself !!

Every year we tell ourselves that “THIS is the year.” The year coming ahead is the one where we’ll find love, take care of our health, enroll in that class we’ve been talking about for ages, stop worrying about the little things, etc. But, how often do we actually make that promise last further than January 1st?.



It’s important to keep ourselves in check, not because we need to prove anything to anyone. The reason goes deeper within. All these things we promise ourselves are often dreams, needs, and authentic desires for our lives. So why keep living everyday the same and call it a life when we can, TODAY, choose our happiness and commit to it? It’s not as hard as it seems. Since we’re ALL about wellness and self-love, we’re focusing on how to get you glowing from within and with true peace of mind. Here are some tips to make it happen for YOU:



Make it SPECIFIC, PERSONAL, and PLAN it!

Make your goals realistic and honest rather than drastic. This means, focusing on the ones that truly matter. Changing habits, and depending on your goals, lifestyle is already something to accomplish that will take effort and motivation from your side. If you choose too many directions, there’s a high chance your energy and ability to push yourself might not be enough to get any of your goals done. In short, choose your resolutions WISELY!


After you’ve chosen, for example, “Strengthening my core” as your resolution. Make it a part of your life step-by-step, with a cue perhaps. 

What will a cue do for you? Get your brain into it. A cue for strengthening your core goal might be, get on your workout clothes (and reward yourself for it, feel proud). You might not exercise that day or at that moment, but just the fact you are getting ready for it, it’s the beginning of your routine, which means, you are committed to it! Find your cue and practice it often. At some point it will come so naturally you won’t need to “push” yourself into anything. It will be a pleasure to start your ab workouts.


Now, give yourself a plan that makes you SMILE! Thoughts become reality when we actually create the space for them in our lives. Choose which days, which times, which methods or possibilities are good for you and make you feel excited, and use them to create your master plan!!



Get to LOVE your home workout

In these times of pandemic, boosting our happy hormones and staying mentally healthy while at home is key. It might feel for many that finding the motivation to exercise at home is difficult, which is why we recommend getting a workout buddy (at home or virtually) and to choose a practice that is just FUN! Try to make it one of those activities where time passes by quickly. This might be different for everyone. Maybe for you it’s yoga, dance, or pilates.
