The FHY Teacher Training offers in-depth knowledge and tools to support your Yoga teaching career, personal Yoga practice and your own self development.
The differentiating factor of this training is that the focus will be on various popular styles of yoga, such as:
Primary importance is placed on precise body alignment, biomechanics and the use of props (Iyengar and FlyHigh Yoga), as well as focusing on creating well structured, flowing sequences (Vinyasa Yoga). In addition the training will also qualify you to teach FlyHighYoga™, a popular style of aerial yoga which is quickly expanding globally.
You will learn to become proficient in the ‘grammar of yoga’ – core principles and structure, as well as the ‘poetry of yoga’ – stillness, flow and energy.

Budi Ayu is a beautiful, locally run homestay within walking distance from the Ubud Yoga Centre.
The accommodation offers 24-hour front desk support, an outdoor pool and free WiFi access in public areas. The air-conditioned rooms have private bathrooms fitted with a shower.
Budi Ayu Villas is within close proximity to popular attractions such as the Ubud Monkey Forest, Ubud Local Arts Market and the Ubud Palace. Denpasar International Airport is a 90-minute drive away.
Budi Ayu will be your home away from home. You will be taken care of and you will find time to relax, swim and study during your training.
This Yoga Teacher Training interlaces modern perspectives with ancient traditions. The training is based on holistic and non-dogmatic principles. The hours are broken down into the following subjects based on Yoga Alliance standards.

Jose Luis Jimenez is the founder of FlyHighYoga™ and its main teacher. He teaches FHY™ Teacher Trainings all over the world, from Bali as FHY™’s origin, to China, Malaysia and Europe. He is a long-term yogi, practicing and teaching different yoga styles, from Iyengar, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, combining all his knowledge in his specialty, biomechanics of human body. As a father of FlyHighYoga™ he takes care for quality education of FHY™ Teachers and educate FHY™ Trainers to help him spread the knowledge and passion of FlyHighYoga™.

Natalie was born in South Africa where she completed a four year business degree at the University of Pretoria before immigrated to Indonesia in 2014. She became a FlyHigh Yoga Teacher on the Gili Islands in 2015 and continued teaching for a year before completing her 200 Hr Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training on Gili Trawangan in 2016. Now living in Ubud, Bali, Natalie is a full time teacher, teaching FlyHigh Yoga and Vinyasa at the Ubud Yoga Centre. Having a keen sense of business and a passion for Yoga, Natalie manages to merge both fields in a creative, fun and personal way in order for people to find their true potential, recognize their inner strengths and how to maximise these in the Yoga world.
Jungian therapist and author, focusing on personal growth and spiritual development
Jeremiah Abrams is a Jungian therapist and author based in Ubud, Bali and the San Francisco Bay area of northern California. A popular teacher, Jeremiah is considered a leading expert on the human shadow. His books include the best-selling Meeting the Shadow: The Hidden Power of the Dark Side of Human Nature; The Shadow in America; and Reclaiming the Inner Child. His 3-CD audio program, The Dreamtime Journey: The Path of Direct Experience is a shamanic journey in a box.
He is focusing and personal and spiritual development. His dives deep into a Jungian perspective and shows people how to remove the barriers to love.
Jonathan Matahi Lefevre
Anatomy & Philosophy
Jonathan Matahi Lefevre was born in Tahiti and grew up between Polynesia, Bali, and India. After a long period of traveling and studying with various shamans and mystics he eventually went back for more academic training and graduated from the Kimura Shiatsu Institute in Tokyo, Japan; the International Professional School of Bodywork, San Diego,California; and the British School of Osteopathy, London, UK. He was then able to blend in his work Western science with Eastern spirituality while exploring the higher common threads linking the various cultures he had been exposed to.
Bali is known by it’s magical vibrations and beautiful scenarios. From beautiful beaches, to magnificent volcanoes and calming rice paddies, kind and smiling people and Balinese culture that gain its reputation all over the world. Many healers and yogis found their place or at least one time experience on this energetic part of the world, known also as Island of Gods.
Ubud lies in the centre of Bali, in the heart of rice paddies, even more interlaced with Balinese tradition that the other parts of the island. Ubud is one of the world’s most popular cultural, art, yoga and food destination. It is known as the “Mecca of Yoga”, attracting many yogis from all walks of life.
Ubud Yoga Centre is settled in a beautiful location, only a five-minute drive from the center of Ubud Village. Built with strong stustainable and eco-friendly principles in mind, the UYC offers a stunning view, straight into the Ubud jungle. UYC is equipped with three magnificent yoga shalas, shower facilities, lockers, a kids centre, healthy Café serving delicious meals and coffees and an onsite Yoga store offering the latest yoga fashion trends and accessories.
Breakfast will be prepared and served at the Ubud Yoga Centre, where they put special emphasis on quality and nutritional value. All meals are vegetarian with vegan options.
For a self-service breakfast in a buffet style you can choose from different locally grown fruits, cereals/granola, yogurt, milk, tea and coffee. All the food is prepared from local organic ingredients.
Things to do (optional)
You will have one day free each training week, 4 days free in total. Free days are meant for you to rest or you can use them to do a bit of sightseeing on Bali.
You can relax in one of many spas in the area – enjoy a massage, pedicure, manicure, scrub, a healing therapy, etc. For the active lovers, there are many sites to visit in and around Ubud to keep you going and exploring. Visit one of the many temples Bali has to offer such as the famous Elephant Cave, take a daily bike ride along the hills and rice paddies of Ubud, visit the famous rice terrance Tegalalang, climb the volcano Batur, visit one of the famous dance performances (Kecak or Legong dance) or visit one of the beaches close to Kuta, Seminyak, Uluwatu or Nusa Dua.
On one of your free days we will take you on a special trip to a White sand beach, also called Virgin beach, where we will snorkel, relax, sunbath and have fun. Picnic on the beach is included.

How to get there
You can come to Ubud on two different ways:
Arrival by airplane (Denpasar)
Book your flight to arrive at Denpasar International Airport. You can fly directly to this airport or first to Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia) and than take the local flight to Denpasar. Transfer from Denpasar airport will be organized by us upon request.
Arrival by Boat (Padangbai)
If you decide to arrive on Bali by boat (ferry or speed boat), you will come first to Padangbai harbour. From there you can use free shuttle service, organize by your boat company, that will bring you directly to Ubud. Transport from center Ubud is in our organization available upon request.

FlyHigh Yoga™ offers versatile program for new yoga teachers, as well already existing ones, who would like to delve deeper into their practice, knowledge and widen their perspectives.
The program consists of all basic yoga knowledge such as, yoga philosophy, anatomy, adjustments, sequencing, yoga practice and practice teaching, teaching methodology, meditation and pranayama sessions, as well additional topics to help you develop your personal strengths and bring you on a higher level of consciousness.
Our teacher tranings are oriented on gaining good knowledge and real understanding of your body, it’s correct alignment and adjustments, as well understand the dynamics and needs of a yoga class, gaining self-confidence and self-trust as a yoga teacher and developing your mind, body & spirit.
We encourage all our students to develop their full potential and discover their inner strengths. We encourage all our trainees to find their true selves and to discover what they already have to offer and build on that.
Our mission is to give each of you a toolbox and confidence to use them in your personal practice and teaching.
